MIPLA Patent Prosecution Section Roundtable: DOCX

The Patent Prosecution Section invites all MIPLA members to a January roundtable discussion.

Beginning January 1, 2023, Applicants must file certain patent applications via the on-line USPTO Patent Center system in a DOCX format or an additional fee must be paid to the USPTO to file in a PDF format. In this roundtable, David Provence of Mueting Raasch Group will lead a discussion of this change in practice.  Dr. Provence will review the new requirements, issues with the USPTO's use of application documents filed in DOCX, and possible filing strategies that avoid the use of DOCX format and the fee to file in a PDF format.

Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by January 10th to ensure enough food and space will be available.
