Registration is open for the annual MIPLA Stampede, being held in-person Thursday May 2, 2024 at Pinstripes (3849 Gallagher Dr, Edina, MN 55435) in the upstairs ballroom. Attendees may receive up to 6.0 CLE credits including 1.0 ethics credit (MN CLE course code: 505610). This will be another fun and informative IP CLE program, and a great opportunity to network with colleagues from the IP community.
Event registration includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and a reception/cocktail hour with appetizers and bocce ball at the close of the event.
MIPLA will conduct its annual meeting over lunch. MIPLA members can attend the annual meeting portion only via a special limited registration, without having to register for the full CLE event.

The Education Committee is pleased to announce a complimentary in-person CLE to be held at Merchant & Gould on May 23rd and presented by Rachel Scobie (Chair of Litigation Practice Group at Merchant & Gould). The CLE will run from 3:30-4:30 and will be followed by a happy hour from 4:30-5:30. 1 Standard CLE credit will be applied for.
Federal Circuit Top Ten (and More) The last twelve months have been a busy time at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. This presentation will address the most significant precedential patent decisions issued over the past year, touch on the Supreme Court’s interest in IP in 2023, and cover what to watch for in the latter part of 2024.

Rachel is an experienced first-chair trial lawyer and appellate advocate whose practice has focused on complex intellectual property disputes for more than 20 years. Rachel has been responsible for matters in various federal courts and agencies throughout the United States, in state court in Minnesota, and in arbitration. She also has significant experience handling appellate-level disputes, a practice to which she brings valuable experience as a former clerk for U.S. Court of Appeals Judge James B. Loken. Rachel currently serves as Chair of the Litigation Practice Group at Merchant & Gould, where she also serves as Editor of the Firm’s ipcaseupdates.com blog. Rachel is a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, is a past Chair and serves on the Board of the Fund for Legal Aid, is a past President of the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, and is a volunteer attorney with the Children’s Law Center.
